World no. 36 and Kazakhstan's top tennis player, Alexander Bublik, clinched the ATP 250 title at the European Open in Antwerp, Belgium, QazMonitor reports.
In the tournament final, Bublik defeated world no. 38 Arthur Fils with a score of 6:4, 6:4. Fils had previously stunned world no. 7 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals.
This marks Bublik's third ATP title, including two ATP 250 tournaments and one ATP 500 victory.
As the champion of the tournament, the Kazakh tennis player will receive €102,460 in prize money and 250 ranking points, advancing him from 36th to 30th place in the ATP rankings.
