Kazakhstan Defeats Finland in Euro 2024 Qualifiers

The team currently ranks 3rd in Group H, trailing behind Slovenia and Denmark

On October 17, the national men's football team successfully played their eighth match in the Euro 2024 qualifiers in Helsinki, defeating team Finland with a score of 2:1 (1:0), QazMonitor reports.

In the first half, Finland took the lead thanks to a goal by midfielder Robert Taylor. However, after the break, the national team managed to regain their momentum, thanks to the efforts of midfielder Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov. Then, in the 89th minute, Zainutdinov scored again, securing the second goal for our team after a corner kick by Ramazan Orazov.

Currently, Kazakhstan has fifteen points with five wins and three losses in the Group H standings, placing them in the 3rd position in the group, behind Slovenia and Denmark and ahead of Finland, Northern Ireland, and San Marino.

The next match is scheduled for November 17 in Astana. Kazakhstan will once again face San Marino.
