Kazakhstan, China Sign Commercial Documents worth $16.54 Billion

The documents cover investments, trade agreements, establishment of credit lines and more

During the official visit of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to China, prominent business figures from both countries signed 30 commercial documents worth $16.54 billion. These agreements cover various aspects of economic cooperation, encompassing investments, trade deals, technology transfers for production, and the establishment of credit lines, the press service of Akorda reports.

Key agreements signed in presence of the Head of State during his official visit are as follows:

1. An agreement between NC KazMunayGas JSC and SINOPEC for the joint PFS of the PTA/PET project.

2. An agreement between NC KazMunayGas JSC and CITIC Group on mutual understanding and cooperation in promoting the expansion of the capacity of JV CASPI BITUM LLP to process up to 1.5 million tons of crude oil per year.

3. A cooperation agreement between Kazpost JSC and YTO Express Group.

4. A framework agreement between NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC and CRRC Corporation Limited on cooperation and product acquisition (trade agreement).

5. A bilateral statement from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and China National Petroleum Corporation regarding the extension of the subsoil use contract.

6. A sales and purchase agreement for the acquisition of shares in the charter capital of Silleno LLP between NC KazMunayGas JSC, SINOPEC, and SIBUR LLC.

1. A cooperation agreement between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and China Power International Holding, SANY Renewable Energy Co. Ltd.

2. A cooperation agreement between al-Farabi Kazakh National University and China University of Petroleum to establish the ‘One Belt, One Road’ Association for joint industry development, training of scientific personnel, and joint scientific research in the energy sector.

3. A cooperation agreement between Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and Shenzhen Enterprise Confederation.

4. A joint development agreement between Samruk-Energy JSC and Power China Resources Ltd.

5. A cooperation agreement between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and China Power International Holding.

6. A cooperation agreement between NC KazMunayGas JSC and China National Offshore Oil Corporation.

7. A cooperation agreement between NC QazaqGaz JSC and Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation.

8. A memorandum of understanding for the implementation of the ‘Civil Explosives Industrial Park’ project between Kazakhstan Engineering JSC and Liangjiang Precision Control Electronic Technology (Chongqing) Co. Ltd.

9. A framework agreement between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC, and China Huadian Overseas Investment on investment cooperation.

10. A framework agreement on cooperation between NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC and GC Port Liangyun'gan LLC.

11. A distribution agreement between Astana Motors and BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. for the supply of vehicles using new energy sources.

12. A distribution agreement between Astana Motors and TELD New Energy Co. Ltd.

13. An additional agreement on academic exchange between al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Beijing University of Foreign Languages.

14. A credit agreement between Samruk-Kazyna JSC, GPC Investment LLP, Bank of China Limited (Tokyo Branch), JSC AB Bank of China Kazakhstan, China Construction Bank (Asia) Corporation Limited for providing a credit line to GPC Investment.

15. A preliminary investment agreement between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and SANY Renewable Energy Co. Ltd.

16. A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and China National Petroleum Corporation.

17. A memorandum of cooperation and partnership between the RSE Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, npJSC Medical University Astana, and BGI Group.

18. A memorandum of cooperation between Kazpost JSC and Sai Cheng International Logistics Co. Ltd.

19. A memorandum of understanding between Primus Capital LLP and Sinoma Cement Co. Ltd.

20. A memorandum of understanding between npJSC Medical University Astana and Shanghai United Imaging Healthcare Co. Ltd.

21. A memorandum of understanding between al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Beijing University of Language and Culture.

22. Addendum No. 7 to the Subsoil Use Contract between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and CNPC-Aktobemunaigas JSC.

23. The main terms of QIC's participation in the Forebright Life Science Technology Fund between Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC and BGI Group.

24. A natural gas sales contract between NC QazaqGaz JSC and Petrochina International Co. Ltd.
