Almaty–Tel Aviv Flight Departs to Evacuate Kazakh Nationals from Israel

The return flight will arrive back in Almaty at approximately 11:45 p.m. local time

On October 10 at 8:00 a.m., Air Astana flight departed from Almaty to Tel-Aviv to evacuate Kazakh citizens stuck in Israel, QazMonitor reports citing Zakon.

The airline notes that the return flight will arrive in Almaty at approximately 11:45 p.m. local time on the same day.

Earlier, during a press conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Aibek Smadiyarov, provided information about how many Kazakh nationals are currently in Israel.

“It appears that today, on the consular registration of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Israel, there are 77 people, including embassy employees and their families. Five students from Kazakhstan are studying in higher educational institutions in Israel, and approximately 30 Kazakh citizens are training in various medical institutions in Israel. That’s a total of 112 people,” said Smadiyarov.

The Embassy in Tel Aviv stays in constant contact with our compatriots. So far, a special chat room has been created for 200 people from Kazakhstan who live temporarily or permanently in Israel to provide up-to-date information on the current situation.

Currently, there is no information regarding citizens of Kazakhstan who have been killed, injured, or taken hostage.

UPDATE: The flight departed Tel Aviv at 16:45 Astana time, arrival time in Aktau 19:25, tentative arrival time in Almaty 00:15.

The total number of passengers is 166 including 2 infants.
