Welcoming the Heads of Government, President Tokayev expressed gratitude to them for their support of Innoprom Kazakhstan, an international industrial exhibition, which is being held for the first time in Kazakhstan.

"Your participation in the work of the exhibition has undoubtedly given it a special status and has become another assurance of our close trade and economic cooperation. It is gratifying that the event today is turning into a sustainable business platform. Within the framework of the exhibition, potential partners and investors get acquainted with the achievements of the industrial sector of our countries, open new opportunities for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects," the Head of State emphasized.

As the President of Kazakhstan noted, the increase in the number of joint ventures, and major projects in industry, energy, mechanical engineering, agriculture and other sectors of the economy is reflected in the steady growth of foreign trade among EAEU member countries, which reached 13% in H1 2023.

President Tokayev expressed that the EAEU states have huge reserves to significantly strengthen cooperation, so all opportunities to promote them should be actively used.

"As for Kazakhstan, we are absolutely committed to further development of integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. We believe that this Union is a very promising integration organization. Great opportunities lie precisely in the economic potential of this Union," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Head of State believes that effective trade-economic cooperation is closely connected to the unlocking of transit and transportation potential, so transportation opportunities should be consistently developed.

The speech highlighted the potential of the North-South transit corridor accessing Iran, the Persian Gulf and India, the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railroad, and the Western Europe-Western China route. The President mentioned the potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor.
