Kazakhstan advocates for strengthening cooperation with Central Asian countries in the IT industry in light of global transformations in production, the labor market, and services, QazMonitor reports.
During his speech at the 5th Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asia in Dushanbe, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the increasing importance of applying digital solutions in Central Asia due to global trends. According to forecasts, up to 70% of products and services worldwide will be based on digital platforms within the next decade.
Tokayev highlighted that digital solutions are actively being implemented in all sectors of Kazakhstan's economy. For instance, the share of cashless transactions in the country has reached 82%, and over 90% of public services are now available digitally.
"Last year alone, the export volume of our domestic IT industry grew fivefold. We aim to raise this figure to $1 billion by 2026. Kazakhstan is committed to fully enhancing cooperation with its closest neighbors in this strategically important industry," concluded Tokayev.
