On September 11, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Turkiye, Murat Nurtleu and Hakan Fidan, announced plans to launch new flights from Aktau and Shymkent to Turkiye, QazMonitor reports citing Kazinform.

During the ministers’ meeting in Astana, Nurtleu mentioned that the two countries currently maintain 93 flights and are planning to expand air links. Currently, the parties are exploring the possibility of establishing air communication with Aktau and Shymkent.

"We have every reason to believe that our common goals are to expand the scope of political dialogue, trade, economics, culture, and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkiye. As a result of today's talks, a significant step has been taken, which will further strengthen relations between Kazakhstan and Turkiye," added Nurtleu.
