On September 7, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met in Astana with the President of Albania Bajram Begaj, and discussed avenues for developing bilateral trade, economic, transport, logistics, and humanitarian cooperation, QazMonitor reports citing Akorda.
Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan regards Albania as an important partner in the Balkan Peninsula and believes it is essential to foster bilateral cooperation within major international organizations such as the UN, OSCE, and OIC.
“When considering the available opportunities in tourism, transportation, energy, and other sectors, we should explore the possibility of establishing direct flights between our capitals. I would like to emphasize once more that Kazakhstan is highly committed to advancing our cooperation, and we will spare no effort to achieve tangible results”, added Tokayev.
In turn, Begaj highlighted the current window of opportunity for enhancing collaboration in mining, energy, agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure development. The President of Albania also emphasized the importance of expanding humanitarian contacts between the two countries.
