The Kazakh-Finnish duo of Anna Danilina and Harri Heliovaara defeated Japan’s Ena Shibahara and Croatia’s Mate Pavic 7(7):6(2), 6:4, advancing to the finals of the US Open mixed doubles in New York, QazMonitor reports citing the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
During the match, Danilina and Heliovaara scored four aces and committed six double faults, while their opponents made three aces and five double faults.
The finals are scheduled for September 9. The Kazakh-Finnish duo will face the leading American doubles players, Jessica Pegula and Austin Krajicek.
