On September 5, Kazakhstan assumed the chairmanship of the 10th Meeting of Ministers of Justice of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Justice.
During the meeting in Shanghai, the Kazakh side was represented by Minister Azamat Yeskarayev. He outlined our country’s priorities during the chairmanship tenure with a particular focus drawn on cooperating in combating transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, and cybercrime.
Furthermore, the participants discussed the need for further development of legal services and forensic activities and agreed to the held next year meeting in Kazakhstan. Following the end of the meeting, the Ministers of Justice of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states signed a Joint Statement.
The Kazakh delegation held bilateral and multilateral meetings on the development of cooperation among the ministries of justice of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states.
