The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development and the Vietnamese low-cost airline VietJet Air have agreed to enhance air cargo transportation, expand flight routes, and increase flight frequency under an Open Sky policy, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee.

The agreements reached under the memorandum will contribute to the further development of tourism, cultural exchange, investment, and business cooperation between the two countries. To this end, VietJet Air is interested in collaborating with Kazakh airlines, which may include signing codeshare and interline agreements.

The document was signed by Kazakhstan’s Industry Minister, Marat Karabayev and Nguyen Thanh Hung, the chair of the board of SOVICO Group and the deputy chair of VietJet Air.
