Kazakh Para Dancers Bring Home Six Medals from Tokyo

The team gave a solid performance at the Tokyo 2023 Para Dance Sport International Competition

Kazakh para dancers won six medals at the Tokyo 2023 Para Dance Sport International Competition, QazMonitor reports citing the Astana City press service.

On August 5-6, the capital of Japan hosted the international para-dance tournament that gathered athletes from 18 countries. The Kazakh team brought home one gold, one silver, and four bronze medals.

The power duo of Ardak Otarbayev and Sevda Aliyeva secured a gold medal in the Duo Freestyle Class 1 category and a silver medal in the Duo Standard Class 1. Otarbayev went on to earn a bronze medal with Aidana Beglenova in the Combi Latin Class 1, and another bronze medal in the individual Man Freestyle Class 1. Additionally, Yermek Kalymbetov and Aigul Balmagambetova also claimed a bronze medal each.
