One of the Kazakh tourists who sustained injuries in a traffic accident in the Turkish city of Alanya has passed away due to the severity of the injuries, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry of foreign affairs.
"The son of the deceased citizen of Kazakhstan arrived today in Antalya and [he] is now with our diplomats," stated the ministry, adding that he is being provided with the necessary aid.
The traffic accident occurred on July 30 in Alanya and involved a minibus carrying twelve citizens of Kazakhstan. Turkish police provided preliminary data indicating that the minibus driver was speeding and had collided with a truck, resulting in injuries to the passengers who were rushed to nearby hospitals.
The foreign ministry then reported that out of the twelve passengers, two were in a state of medium severity, while the other ten—four of whom were children—were in satisfactory condition and not at risk.
