Anna Danilina won her fifth WTA title in her career. Paired with Russia’s Alexandra Panova, she defeated Czech-American duo — Miriam Kolodziejova and Angela Kulikov 6:4, 6:2 in the finals of the Hamburg European Open in Germany, QazMonitor reports citing the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.

During the match, the Kazakh-Russian pair scored one ace compared to their opponents’ none and committed one double fault, while Kolodziejova-Kulikov committed two.

Earlier, Danilina won the 2023 Clarins Open Paris in France, the 2022 Sydney International in Australia, the 2022 Poland Open in Gdansk, and the 2021 Poland Open in Warsaw.

Among other tennis achievements, Denis Yevseyev won his first ATP Challenger in his career at the President's Cup in Astana, overpowering Uzbekistan’s Khumoyun Sultanov 7:5, 6:2, 6:4.

"After winning my first ATP Challenger at home, I find it unbelievable. It was nice to feel such support from the home fans. I enjoyed playing on the center court. It was a great experience. Never stop dreaming; even at the age of 30, you can play at the highest level and win tournaments," shared Yevseyev after the match.

The Kazakh tennis player will receive 50 rating points and $5,500 in prize money.
