Kazpost Suspends Transfers Using Unistream Payment System

The postal operator refers to sanctions umposed on Unistream by US authorities

The national postal operator Kazpost has suspended operations with Unistream payment system in the wake of the Russian company's inclusion in the US sanctions list, QazMonitor reports citing Kazpost's press service.

In the official statement, Kazpost clarified the suspension of operations with the Russian payment system.

"Since July 21, 2023, Kazpost JSC has suspended sending/receiving money transfers via Unistream in connection with the inclusion of Unistream company in the sanctions list," stated the national operator.

On July 20, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury added several credit organizations from Russia to the sanctions list. Unistream was included in the list, along with Tinkoff Bank, Solidarnost Commercial Bank, Locko-Bank, and Petersburg Social Commercial Bank.
