‘Developing Fitness Culture Together’: How INVICTUS Fitness Holds International Tournaments in Kazakhstan

What are the two major sports events of this summer that every athlete awaits?

INVICTUS
INVICTUS

Invictus Fitness is a rapidly growing network of premium fitness clubs in Kazakhstan. Since its foundation in 2016, the network has managed to open over 20 clubs across the country and go international. The main objectives of Invictus are the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, fitness culture and bodybuilding in society, as well as attracting new people to the sports community of athletes.

On July 8-9, Invictus Fitness will hold two large-scale events in Almaty at once: the NPC Worldwide Eurasian Championship, and Battle of 20 Clubs tournament. The events promise to be an exciting spectacle for every kind of audience and sports enthusiast. QazMonitor found out what each show is about and why they are worth your attention.

NPC Worldwide Eurasian Championship

The NPC Worldwide Eurasian Championship is a major event open to athletes from around the world. The event took place in Kazakhstan for the first time in December 2022 and managed to reach 8 million people. More than 500 athletes took part and over a hundred bloggers and media representatives covered the event.

The National Physique Federation is the only federation in the world of bodybuilding and fitness that gives athletes an opportunity to compete in various tournaments with their PRO card. This allows athletes to take a chance at Mr.Olympia — the ultimate international competition.

"Initially we planned to hold a grandiose bodybuilding tournament in Astana, and then we decided to add value to an athlete's participation not only with a cash prize of five million tenge but also with the NPC Federation’s PRO cards," says Invictus Development Director Zhasulan Asanuly.

We contacted the secretary of the Federation's Vice President but did not receive a timely response. Then we contacted Chris Minnes - one of the three best NPC promoters, who runs more than 30 tournaments in the USA annually. He gladly agreed to our offer to collaborate on hosting the tournament. One of the criteria to make the event happen was the purchase of PRO card licenses - we acquired 9 of them. As a result of the NPC Open Pro Qualifier tournament several Kazakh sportsmen won PRO cards. They are currently preparing to participate in the Legion tournament in late October. In case of victory, they will get access to participation in Mr. Olympia.

According to Asanuly, the licenses were purchased to give athletes an opportunity to show themselves in the highest arena of bodybuilding. This year Invictus Fitness is planning to purchase up to 7 PRO cards by November, enabling even more athletes to participate in major tournaments.

The Battle of 20 Clubs

Another event by Invictus worth attending this summer is their traditional Battle of the 20 Clubs — an exciting competition for athletes from all Invictus Fitness clubs. As part of the event, teams from each club will compete in various sports categories such as figure, men's bodybuilding, classic physique, men's physique, bikini, and wellness.

Athletes will demonstrate their fitness, strength, and endurance in the battle for victory and the ever-increasing prize fund, which has reached 10 million tenge this year. Each team includes Crossfit, bodybuilding, swimming, and powerlifting.

"Together we can develop the fitness industry and promote a healthy lifestyle by supporting local athletes," said the representatives of INVICTUS Fitness.

NPC Worldwide and the Battle of the 20 Clubs promise to be bright and memorable events. It is a great opportunity for participants to showcase their abilities and for spectators to enjoy dynamic and exciting competitions. If you love fitness and athletic competitions and want to become part of the fitness culture, do not miss the shows on July 8-9 at SADU Arena Almaty, 128/7 Al-Farabi Ave.
