Tax Free pilot project implementation period was extended from June 30, 2023 to December 31, 2024, extending its coverage to the city of Shymkent. The information was published in the order of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Finance No. 710 dated June 27, 2023, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the State Revenue Committee.
The pilot project was planned to be valid until June 30, 2023 in three cities - Astana, Almaty and Turkestan.
"The order was registered in the Ministry of Justice on June 29, 2023, № 32935 and shall be enacted after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication," reported the Committee.
Tax Free project allows tourists to receive VAT refunds when exporting goods outside the customs territory of the EEU in the amount not less than 20 minimum calculation indexes.
