On June 23, the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID) and the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the exchange of experience between the agencies in the field of official development assistance, as well as the joint implementation of projects in the Caucasus region, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry of foreign affairs.
During the meeting in Baku, the parties emphasized the great potential for cooperation between the two countries in terms of international aid measures. The interlocutors reached an agreement on the interaction between the agencies within the Organization of Turkic States.
The Kazakh delegation also participated in the closing ceremony of the Advanced Foreign Service Program for foreign diplomats and held meetings with representatives of the ministry of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and other state institutions in the country, as well as with the local UNDP mission.
KazAID established contact with ADA University, a leading Azerbaijani higher education institution for the diplomatic service, to develop cooperation with Kazakh educational institutions.
