Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks over the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of Akorda.
According to the statement, Vladimir Putin briefed him on the situation in the country.
“The events taking place are Russia's internal affair,” said Tokayev.
President Tokayev noted that the constitutional order and the rule of law are a precondition for maintaining law and order in the country. This is the foundation of the security of society and its successful development.
Vladimir Putin thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the country’s understanding of the current situation in the Russian Federation, the report said.
Vladimir Putin made a live address on the Wagner paramilitary group’s armed insurgency, and counterterrorist operations in Moscow, the Moscow region and other regions of the country.
Putin noted that decisive actions will be taken regarding the leaders and participants of the armed insurrection.
