On May 31 in Almaty, the foreign ministries of South Korea and Kazakhstan agreed to arrange an official visit of the president of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol, to Kazakhstan next year, QazMonitor reports citing Kazinform.
Murat Nurtleu, the Kazakh minister of foreign affairs, and Park Jin, the minister of foreign affairs of South Korea, held a briefing for journalists following the discussion on bilateral diplomatic relations.
"The development of a partnership with South Korea based on friendship, mutual trust, and constructiveness is one of the most important priorities of our country's foreign policy. The state visit of the president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to South Korea in August 2021 is a bright proof of that. During the visit, our bilateral relations were elevated to an expanded strategic partnership. In this regard, my colleague and I have agreed to organize a visit of the president of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Yoon Suk Yeol, to Kazakhstan next year," said Nurtleu.
He noted that the two countries sustain a substantive and regular political dialogue and hold similar positions on a variety of regional and global issues.
