National mining company Tau-Ken Samruk and Turkish D Mineral plan to establish a joint venture to develop gold deposits, QazMonitor reports citing the national company’s press service.
D Mineral is a subsidiary of Dimer Group Companies, a mining and development corporation based in Ankara. The company specializes in iron ore and copper mining. Their authorized capital is $20 million.
On April 11 in Astana, Tau-Ken Samruk chairman Bakyt Chirchikbayev and D Mineral vice chairman Ilhan Poyraz signed an agreement on the main terms of the deal.
Under the agreement, the companies will start prospecting and exploring promising areas for which they plan to obtain exploration permits and establish a joint venture specializing in the development of gold deposits. The Turkish side will cover the financing of the geological survey.
