Kazakhstan's national football team has won the match against Denmark in the qualifying round of the UEFA Euro 2024, QazMonitor reports.

The Group H match at Astana Arena ended with a score that not many fans of Kazakhstan’s team anticipated but surely were glad to see – 3:2. What many experts already consider a historic win for the Kazakh football team is a stunning comeback from 0:2 in favor of Denmark in just 17 minutes.

The Danes have made a claim to victory in the first half, scoring two unanswered goals. First, 20-year-old Rasmus Højlund opened the score 20 minutes in the game, and 15 minutes later he made a double.

In the second half, Kazakhstan managed to turn the tide. In the 72nd minute, Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov converted a penalty. Five minutes before the end of regular time, Askhat Tagybergen evened the score with a long-range shot.

Abat Aimbetov scored in the 89th minute and brought Kazakhstan the victory.

This has become Kazakhstan’s first win in the 2024 qualifiers, while Denmark suffered its first defeat.
