European business group Svevind Energy GmbH and the Kazakh-German University in Almaty agreed to partially finance a green hydrogen training program at Aktau city’s Yessenov University, QazMonitor reports.

Hyrasia Energy, Svevind's subsidiary, made arrangements with seven leading German technical universities to open bachelor's and master's degree programs at Yessenov University this year.

The programs will focus on training top-notch energy specialists, geologists, environmental scientists, logisticians, advanced engineers, and IT personnel. Students will be eligible for a partial tuition coverage of €30,000.

Currently, Hyrasia Energy is already investing in one of its projects in the region – a plant to produce 2 million tons of green hydrogen. The project’s estimated cost totals $50 billion, and its energy capacity is expected to be 40 GW.

The plant’s construction will create 3,500 jobs and about 1,800 new permanent jobs during the phased commissioning of the facilities.
