UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly will visit Astana to participate in the opening ceremony of the new public square named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, QazMonitor reports.
Aibek Smadiyarov, foreign ministry spokesperson, said at a briefing that the Secretary’s visit will take place from March 17 to 18 in Astana. He is due to meet with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.
The opening of Queen Elizabeth II square was announced in November 2022. It will be located on Kabanbay Batyr Avenue, between the Saltanat Saraiy complex and the St. Regis Astana Hotel.
