Kazakh mixed martial arts fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov (17-0) won against American Geoff Neal (15-5) at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, QazMonitor reports.
Rakhmonov defeated Neal by submission (standing bulldog choke) in the last minute of Round 3.
It should be noted that prior to the fight Neal ranked higher than Rakhmonov in the UFC welterweight rating: the American was seventh and the Kazakh was ninth.
The fight became Rakhmonov's seventeenth victory of his professional career, while Geoff Neal suffered his fifth defeat. For Rakhmonov it was his fifth fight in the UFC (the Kazakh fighter hold a win streak of 5-0), and for Neal it was his tenth (7-3).
