Kazakhstan to Build Two Gas Processing Plants at the Kashagan Field

The first facility is expected to be commissioned in 2025

At the meeting chaired by PM Alikhan Smailov, the Kazakh Government discussed the production of marketable gas for the domestic market, QazMonitor reports.

The participants outlined plans to construct a gas processing plant at the Kashagan field with a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters. Currently, an uninterrupted supply of equipment has been established at the production site, and construction work is underway.

The plant is expected to be commissioned in 2025.

In addition, the construction of another gas facility in the Caspian Sea is under consideration. This facility will be built in two stages and is designed for a capacity of 4 billion cubic meters.
