Matilda Bachurina claimed Kazakhstan’s first gold medal at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, QazMonitor reports.
A press representative of the Akmola region’s culture and sports said Bachurina participated in the U-20 category and defeated opponents from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Germany to become first.
The MMA championship hosted more than 600 fighters from 62 countries.
