Kazakhstan introduced legal changes in regard to the production and circulation of digital assets and the development of digital mining, QazMonitor reports.

Starting April 1, the country will legally recognize the following digital assets:

– a secured digital asset issued on a digital platform designed for storing and exchanging such assets that has a right to tangible, intellectual services and assets based on the right of private ownership

– a secured digital asset issued on a digital platform designed for storing and exchanging such assets that provides proof to the property and (or) intellectual property rights to inventions, works of science, literature, and art, as well as other results of intellectual activity

In addition, the bill also introduces new terminology for the legal system – digital asset, digital asset exchange, digital mining, digital mining data center, licensing of digital miners, implementation of digital mining pools, presentation of data on the income of digital miners and digital mining pools for tax purposes.
