Kazakhstan won eleven medals and secured first place in the overall team standings at the ISSF World Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia, QazMonitor reports.
The competition ran from January 27 to February 7 and gathered 350 athletes from 32 countries. Team Kazakhstan was represented by fifteen athletes.
Our country won three gold, five silver and three bronze medals, beating the Swiss and Hungarian teams who took second and third place respectively.
Overall, the team achieved the following results:
Gold medals:
– Nikita Chiryukin in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol competition
– Arina Altukhova in the 50-meter rifle three position competition
– Alexandra Le, Yelizaveta Bezrukova and Anastassiya Grigoryeva as part of the women’s national team in the 10-meter air rifle competition
Silver medals:
– Konstantin Malinovskiy in the 10-meter air rifle competition
– Nikita Shakhtorin, Konstantin Malinovskiy and Islam Satpaev as part of the men’s national team in the 10-meter air rifle competition
– Nikita Chiryukin, Alexey Lotarev and Valeriy Rakhimzhan as part of the men’s national team in the 10-meter air pistol competition
– Konstantin Malinovskiy, Matvey Timofeyev and Islam Satpaev as part of the men’s national team in the 50-meter air rifle three positions competition
– Alexandra Le, Yelizaveta Bezrukova and Arina Altukhova as part of the women’s national team in the 50-meter air rifle three positions competition
Bronze medals:
– Irina Yunusmetova and Valeriy Rakhimzhan as part of the mixed team in the in 10-meter air pistol competition
– Islam Satpaev and Yelizaveta Bezrukova as part of the mixed team in the 50-meter air rifle three positions competition
– Irina Yunusmetova, Olga Axenova and Saule Alimbek as part of the women’s national team in the 25-meter pistol competition
The World Cup in Indonesia is a ranking tournament, which allows the participants to move up in the ISSF table and qualify for Paris Olympics in 2024.
