Kazakhstan and Bahrain to Establish Joint Business Council

The countries are preparing to develop a cooperation roadmap

Kazakhstan and Bahrain agreed to establish a joint business council between the two countries to stimulate mutual trade and increase the inflow of investment, QazMonitor reports.

Deputy prime minister–minister of foreign affairs Mukhtar Tileuberdi paid an official visit to the kingdom of Bahrain, where he was received by the king of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

They discussed the importance of expanding trade and economic ties and agreed to put efforts into resolving transport and logistics issues.

Mr. Tileuberdi also held talks with the deputy prime minister of Bahrain Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on deepening bilateral cooperation. The parties are preparing to develop a roadmap for cooperation between the countries.

During the meeting with the foreign minister of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Kazakh delegation touched on the issues of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The official visit ended after negotiations with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The organization’s chairman Samir al Nass discussed the cooperation between the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) and the International Islamic Financial Market (IIFM) of Bahrain as well as plans to establish business councils between the two countries.
