Kazakhstan’s women’s U18 hockey team is the new champion of the 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division II Group B in Sofia, Bulgaria, QazMonitor reports.
In the Group B finals, Kazakhstan claimed an impressive 7:0 victory over Iceland and secured its position as division leader. To accomplish this result, the players had to score five wins in five matchups.
Previously, they had to face the following teams:
Kazakhstan vs Bulgaria – 8:1
Kazakhstan vs Australia – 7:1
Kazakhstan vs Belgium – 5:3
Kazakhstan vs Estonia – 8:0
The win allows Kazakhstan to advance to Group A of Division II.
