Kazakhstan will cooperate with China in the search and rescue of passengers and crews of aircraft in distress, QazMonitor reports citing the Civil Aviation Committee.
The agreement between the two countries was ratified by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on January 24.
The document provides a specific algorithm for mutual action and designates boundaries of the search and rescue zones. The agreement entails mutual notifications of aviation accidents, provision of necessary measures in search parties, and joint training.
