Kazakhstan Increased Imports from UAE by 22%

The Persian Gulf country is represented in Kazakhstan through 273 companies

Kazakhstan increased imports from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 22% amounting to $54.8 million, QazMonitor reports citing KazTAG.

The official report published by the QazTrade Center indicates that unlike imports, the country's exports to the UAE in 2022 were $555 million, a 8% drop from the same period last year.

Crude oil ($250 million) and cathode copper ($235 million) account for more than 87% of exports.

UAE investments in Kazakh enterprises in January–September 2022 totaled $147 million. As of January 1, 2023, the Persian Gulf country is represented in Kazakhstan through 273 companies.
