Kazakhstan to Establish Plant Gene Bank with Turkish Assistance

The sides agreed on the joint scientific research in the agricultural sector

Kazakhstan and Turkiye reached an agreement regarding joint scientific research in the agricultural sector in Ankara, Turkiye, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry of agriculture.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to exchange methods of establishing a seed certification service for agricultural crops as well as the means and processes of their production.

Kazakh delegation also reviewed the work of the Turkish Seed Producers and Industry Union (TSUAB), Turkish Grain Board (TMO), and TUAB certification services in the field of seed analysis for diseases and pests.

Additionally, the Turkish Seed Gene Bank will consult the Kazakh side on the establishment of its counterpart in Kazakhstan.
