The national nuclear power company Kazatomprom has announced the successful delivery of natural uranium to Western markets via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), QazMonitor reports citing Kazatomprom.
The TITR has been used as an alternative route for exporting Kazatomprom cargo to the West since 2018 as a backup in case the main route is rendered unavailable.
In previous reports, uranium shipped in October by the company and Turkestan-based uranium mine JV Inkai LLP had successfully reached its destination at a Canadian port.
The company claims that even under sanctions against Russia there are no restrictions related to the deliveries of finished products to the company's customers around the world.
