Third-Richest Person in the World Shows Interest in Kazakhstan

Gautam Adani identified areas for mutually beneficial cooperation

Gautam Adani Group President Gautam Adani has arrived in Kazakhstan and met with President Tokayev today, QazMonitor reports citing the presidential press service.

Adani, who is currently considered the third wealthiest person in the world with a net worth of $137.4 billion, discussed long-term investment projects that could be implemented in the country.

Adani Group focuses on large-scale infrastructure development in India and has built an extensive portfolio of transport logistics and energy utility projects.

Tokayev welcomed the plans of the multinational conglomerate to develop transport infrastructure in the region. The President noted that Kazakhstan is working on diversifying transport routes and is actively developing the Trans-Caspian international transport route.

Adani also revealed his company's interest in establishing cooperation with Kazakhstan in other important sectors of the economy, such as petrochemicals and traditional and renewable energy.
