Qazaqstan Monitor: Amir Zakirov Won the World Breakdancing Championship in Poland

Kazakhstani Amir Zakirov won the breakdancing championship in Poland. He became the best among the strongest 16 breakdancers on the planet.

On November 7, the Red Bull BC One World Championship, the world's largest and most prestigious one-on-one breakingcompetition, ended in Gdansk. For the first time in history, the winner of the tournament was a Kazakhstani - B-Boy Amir. In the final battle, he defeated his rival B-Boy Phil Wizard from Canada.   

After the announcement of the winner, the host asked Amir what he was going to do next. 

“Nothing has changed. Practice, training with my team and my students”

Breakdancing is a dynamic acrobatic street dance. In 2020, it was officially recognized as an Olympic discipline and included in the program of the 2024 Games in Paris.
