Kazakhstan’s Aruzhan Sagandikova and Zhanel Rustemova advanced to the doubles semifinals of the ITF World Tennis Tour W15 tournament in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, QazMonitor reports citing KTF.
In the quarterfinals, the Kazakh duo claimed victory over Elizaveta Mashnaia and Elizaveta Morozova. The Russian pair won the first set 6:3 and led 4:1 in the second game, but Rustemova and Sagandikova closed the gap and won the game 6:4. In the deciding super tie-breaker, the Kazakhs beat their opponents with 10:6.
The duo will go against Ecuadorian-British pair Camilla Romero and Alisha Reayer today.
