Kazakhstan's Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development held talks with Lithuania's transportation authority regarding the entry ban, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry.
Lithuania introduced requirements, which do not allow foreign vehicles engaged in international cargo transportation on the right of lease to enter its territory.
The ministry also submitted a letter explaining the current procedure for confirming the legality of the transportation of goods in international traffic by Kazakhstani leased vehicles.
According to preliminary information from the Lithuanian side, upon confirmation of the legality of the right to lease vehicles, Kazakh carriers will be allowed into the territory of Lithuania.
This letter was also submitted to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Lithuania. The issue is being monitored by the state authorities.
