Kazakh citizens applying for issuance of a passport to the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Busan can now receive the document in 30 days instead of 80 days, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry of foreign affairs.

Since November 28, Kazakhstan’s ministry of foreign affairs and internal affairs launched an initiative in South Korea to digitalize state services for its citizens.

Currently, the electronic documentation system is successfully operating in Kazakhstan's embassies in Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Hanover), South Korea (Seoul, Busan), the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai), Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Astrakhan, Omsk), USA (Washington, New York, San Francisco), Turkey (Ankara, Antalya, Istanbul), Uzbekistan (Tashkent), and Japan (Tokyo).
