Shell Ready to Develop Oil and Gas Refinery Projects in Kazakhstan

Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with Shell Exploration and Production Director Zoe Yujnovich, QazMonitor reports citing the PM's press service.

They discussed topical issues of Karachaganak and Kashagan fields development, plans to launch projects in the gas processing and oil and gas chemistry spheres as well as measures on the reduction of production risks.

Alikhan Smailov noted that Kazakhstan will continue implementing measures to improve the investment attractiveness of the oil and gas industry.

In turn, Zoe Yujnovich confirmed the company's willingness to continue to work to strengthen the bilateral partnership. In particular, to develop projects in the field of oil and gas processing.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister stressed that the government is interested in continuing cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis with a balance of interests.
