Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Ecology and Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) agreed to cooperate in the field of geological industry development, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry of ecology, geology, and natural resources.

Minister of Ecology Serikkali Brekeshev met with the vice-President of KIGAM, Mr. Hwang Seho, to discuss a partnership in the geological exploration of subsoil and extraction of rare and rare-earth metals.

KIGAM’s extensive experience in geoscience research and introduction of new technologies combined with Kazakhstan’s vast reserve of natural resources promises a substantial and mutually beneficial project for both sides, conveyed Brekeshev.

The memorandum was also signed by the head of the Department of Subsoil Use under the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
