Kazakhstan's esteemed table tennis player Alan Kurmangaliyev claimed two medals at the WTT Youth Contender Jezzine international tournament in Lebanon, QazMonitor reports citing the National Olympic Committee’s press service.
Alan shot to first place in the U17 Boy’s Singles category of table tennis. In the U19 category, he took bronze.
On his path to gold, Alan defeated Obad Al-Abdulla (Qatar), Kareem Shaltouni (Jordan), Steven Moreno (Puerto Rico), Benyamin Faraji (Iran), Remi Chambet-Weil (Netherlands), and Amirmahdi Keshavarzi (Iran).
Earlier, his teammate Mariya Lukyanova won gold medal in the U11 Girl’s Singles finals.
