In Las Vegas, Nevada, Kazakhstan's Janibek Alimkhanuly (13-0, 8 KOs) and Britain's Denzel Bentley (17-2-1, 14 KOs) fought for the WBO world middleweight title, QazMonitor reports.
Alimkhanuly remains undefeated, winning his 13th fight in professional boxing. The fight against 'Qazaq Style' became Bentley's second defeat.
The fight lasted all 12 rounds, at the end of which the judges gave the victory to Alimkhanuly by unanimous decision (116-112, 116-112, 118-110).
For the Kazakh boxer, it was his debut title defense. It also was the first fight in Alimkhanuly's professional career which lasted over ten rounds.
Janibek Alimkhanuly became the reigning WBO middleweight champion of the world after American Demetrius Andrade (31-0, 19 KOs), the former titleholder, moved up to middleweight and avoided the fight with Janibek.
