A Kazakh woman who participated in the filming of "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" has gone viral on social media, QazMonitor reports citing Tengritravel.

Tengritravel reached out to Diana Rustemova, 21, living in Berlin and studying Directing and Design, to uncover more about this intriguing chapter in her life.

Diana shared her experience on TikTok, revealing she was invited as an extra to play the role of a Capitol student. The shooting spanned two weeks with daily sessions lasting 12-13 hours, and strict rules, which prohibited the sharing of any behind-the-scenes materials until the movie's premiere.

She chose to reveal her involvement after the film's release. Accompanied by friends, Diana attended the cinema to watch the new installment of the popular saga. The adrenaline rush she experienced upon seeing herself on the big screen left her in awe. Despite not expecting her presence to be so clear in the frame, the experience was indescribable for her and her friends.

The TikTok post garnered over four hundred comments, with social media users expressing joy for Diana's participation in the project. Some shared their dreams of starring in a movie, creating a supportive online community.

Diana disclosed in an interview that the shooting took place a year ago in Berlin. Although not an avid fan of the saga, she threw her picture on a casting site, leading to an unexpected invitation for the "The Hunger Games" shoot. Her TikTok account experienced a surge, with the video having amassed over 270 thousand views in just five days.

Proud to be the sole participant from Kazakhstan among the 300 extras, Diana emphasized the closure of her childhood dream of becoming an actress through this project. She now embraces a new outlook on life, focusing on trying new things, constantly learning, and enjoying the process. The philosophical sentiment echoes in her words, "Perhaps in time, I will realize what is truly mine, what is my vocation."

"The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" serves as a prequel to the saga, directed by Francis Lawrence. The film, currently screened in Kazakhstan’s cinemas, narrates the youth of the future despotic president of Panem, Coriolanus Snow, exploring the moments that shaped his fate and life choices.
