Kazakh singer and songwriter Say Mo stars in a Pepsi Max commercial next to seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi, FIFA World Cup champion Paul Pogba, England’s most decorated women’s player Lucy Bronze and Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho.
'Play To Inspire'
The ad campaign called ‘Play To Inspire’ leverages Pepsi Max’s football partnerships for the upcoming round of the UEFA Champions League by celebrating the ‘changemakers driving the future of football both on and off the pitch.
The “Pepsi Collective” also includes members, like Mexican freestyle champion Paloma Pujol Mayo and UK women’s grassroots coach Iqra Ismail and her Hilltop FC team who get creative with the ball. Award-winning US photographer Mel D Cole captured intimate portraits and behind-the-scenes photography on the set, while fashion designer Nithsaya reimagined the classic Pepsi football jersey. Dubai-based graphic designer Dina Sami created supporting graphics and visuals including the mural that appears in the ad.
The commercial is set to hip-hop and R&B singer Jordan’s refreshing take of his 90s classic ‘This Is How We Do It’ reimagined as ‘Mama I Made It (How We Do It)’ with Grammy-winning songwriting duo Nova Wav and Sean Douglas.
Molider Esembek who goes by the stage name, Say Mo, @say_mo__, was a participant in the second season of a popular singing competition on TNT channel called "Songs". The young artist is often compared to American rap singer Cardi B due to their similar rap styles and charisma. Her singles often top the charts of Kazakhstani music channels.
