Rare footage of Tien Shan brown bears was published by the Forestry and the Wildlife Committee, QazMonitor reports citing the Committee’s press service.
The cameras were installed on the territory of the Zhongar-Alatau National Park for the conduction of research work. From April 6 to September 6, the camera recorded five Tien Shan brown bears and three cubs.
The Tien Shan (or Himalayan) brown bear is included in the Red Book of Endangered Species of Kazakhstan. In recent years, these predators have become more common in Zhongar-Alatau National Park. According to records, their numbers are increasing every year.
Earlier, a brown bear family surprised tourists with their appearance in Katon-Karagay National Park.
