Two Kazakh Tazy breed dogs became winners of the world championship, held as part of the World Dog Show 2023 in Switzerland, QazMonitor reports.
On August 23, Tazy dogs were awarded the highest titles in the Best Non-FCI 11 group at the Grand Prix de Genève. Four-year-old male dog Tumar (listed as Pigeon Iz Strany Belovodiye) and 9-year-old female Vangeliya became the winners in the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex categories respectively.
The judges gave both dogs the highest possible qualification ‘EXCELLENT’, which is awarded only to a dog that comes very close to the ideal standard of the breed, is presented in excellent condition, displays a harmonious, well-balanced temperament, is of high class and has excellent posture.
At the competition, 150 international judges evaluated species of 200 dog breeds. During the recent general assembly of this organization, the Union of Cynologists of Kazakhstan became a full member of FCI ( International Canine Federation). This grants dogs of Tazy and Tobet breeds the right to participate in any international competitions.
