Bagzhan October played Numb by Linkin Park in the mountains of Almaty. He performed the song on the highest point of Shymbulak mountain, at an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level.
Short Film "Street Poet" Wins Prize at International Visual Media Festival
The short film Koshe akyny / Street Poet directed by Samgar Rakym won a silver award in the Music video category at the Meihodo International Youth Visual Media Festival in New York. The film is about the relationship between fathers and children. The organizers of the film festival awarded the winners with cryptocurrency for the first time.
The short film depicts a spiritual war between the New Kazakh and the Old Kazakh, which is reflected in the relationship between father and son. Poetry and rap stand side by side as symbols of the two epochs in the art of language. The meeting of these two cultures, Kazakh and world, old-fashioned and innovative, brings wonderful dramatic directions to the film.
