In December, a baby bear cub was born to the sleuth of Himalayan brown bears residing at Shymkent zoo, QazMonitor reports.
The official Instagram page of Shymkent zoo shared with their followers that Bimka and Tatyana, the proud parents of the newborn bear cub Umka, have been residents of the zoo since 2016. Before arriving in the city, the pair were living in the Almaty Zoo.
“Now, Umka follows his mother around with a keen interest, as he is exploring the enclosure. Tatiana is a very caring mother and wouldn't take one step away from her offspring. Both the baby and the mother are in good condition,” the staff wrote on Instagram.
Shymkent zoo welcomes visitors from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
